1. Lubricating by hand

It's the most primitive way to use oiler to supply lubricant when you find the lubricant is insufficient. This method is difficult to keep the lubricant in a certain number and has the risk of forgetting refueling. So this method is usually for occasion of light load, low speed or intermittent movement. It is better to set the dust cover or ball valve on the filling hole and use the felt, cotton, wool and so on as the filter device.

2. Lubrication of dropping point

Do a roughly quantitative lubricants supply from the container through holes, needles, valves and so on. The most classic instrument is the oil cup. The amount of oil drop varies significantly depending on the viscosity of the lubricating oil, the bearing clearance and the position of the oil supply hole. This method can be used by light load bearing and medium load bearing whose peripheral speed is less than 4~5m/s.

3. Lubrication by oil ring

The oil ring which hangs on the axis and can rotate brings the lubricant to the bearing. This method can be used by medium speed and high speed bearing whose diameter is greater than 50mm. The oil ring is seamless better. If the ratio of bearing width to diameter is less than 2, you can use one oil ring, otherwise you need two.

4. Lubrication by oil string

Bring the lubricant in lubricant cup to bearing by oil string's capillarity and siphoning. This method can be used by light load and medium load bearing whose peripheral speed is less than 4~5m/s. What's more, the oil string has the function of filtration.

5. Lubrication by oil pad

Offer bearing lubricant by the pressure of lubricant pump and recycle the lubricant flowing from bearing to oil pool. This method is most steady and most oil supply, which can be used by high speed, high load and important bearing.

6. Oil bath lubrication

Put parts of bearing to the lubricant. This method is used by vertical axis thrust bearing.

7. Splash lubrication

Revolving part slap the lubricant and make the lubricant splash on the bearing. This method can be used by high speed bearing.

8. Spray lubrication

Spray the atomizing lubricant on friction surface. This method can be used by high speed bearing.

9. Lubrication of pressure supply

Smear lubricant in oil pool on the surface of bearing by oil pad's capillarity. This method can keep the friction surface clean. But the dust can plug capillary, then cause the insufficient oil supply. The oil supply by oil pad is only 1/20 of usual method.
